History of computer use in Indonesia

Information Communication Technologies (ICT) is a piece of technical equipment used to process and convey information. ICT has two aspects, namely communication technology and information technology. Information technology (IT) is a technological term that can be used to help humans change, create, store and disseminate information. IT brings together high-speed computing and communication for voice, video, and data. Examples of IT are not just computers, but also televisions, telephones, and household electronics.
The history of computer use in Indonesia is divided into four eras, first appeared in the 1960s which became the beginning or entry of computers in Indonesia, then the second in the 1980s which was a period of introduction and understanding of the computer world. Next is the era of the 1990s is the development period, and the last is the era in the early 2000s which has been far more modern with the fact that computers have become a 'common good' for the people of Indonesia.
In 1967 computers began officially entering Indonesia from abroad with permits issued by the government. This year is an important year for Indonesia. By following the demands of consumers who will increase, they will use computers. On July 4, 1969 the Indonesian government decided to create a special team known as BAKOTAN (State Administration Automation Coordination Agency) that uses consultants for agencies that will buy or buy computer equipment.
In 1972 finally, the University of Indonesia (UI) became a pioneer who opened computer science, which was named the Computer Science Center (PUSILKOM) UI, as one of the lessons for students interested in computer science. Indro S. Suwandi Ph.D. is a lecturer from the medical science faculty who introduces computer technology in universities or industry. Understanding of computers began to become a common thing even though it was still limited to some circles. Viewed from the government side, the presence of this new era is considered serious, given its function which can have a positive effect on the sustainability of a country.
SEARCC ’80 (South East Asia Regional Computer Conference 1980), which was held on 21 to 24 October 1980 in Jakarta. This conference discussed abo computer cooperation and development which can be seen from the positive aspects it has. There are several producers who have made Indonesia the target of selling their computers such as HP (Hewlett Packard), DEC (Digital Equipment Corp.), Prime, DG (Data General), Honeywell Bull, and several other manufacturers. In 1983 a number of students from the University of Indonesia (UI) created the first UNIX operating system made by themselves, utilizing a 'Dual 83/20' computer (better known as INDOGTW or Indonesian Gateway), with 1 Mbyte memory specifications, and disks (8 ″ ) with a capacity of 20 Mbytes. It is known that the presence of a Personal Computer (PC) is still very best in terms of ability and population.
In the 1990s, personal computers (PC) began to appear among the public, even though they were classified as "expensive items". In the 1990s Intel began making computers with the X86 microprocessor system and one of the Intel computers was the Pentium II which was quite popular. The presence of Pentium II computers began to shift the phenomenon of the use of 'typewriters'. With the entry of the internet also influenced the development of computers at that time. The opportunity is used as a business field and also advancing the world of computers in Indonesia.
This early 2000 era has been faster, more efficient, and more sophisticated in terms of components and operating systems. In the 2000s, computers that were quite popular in Indonesia were the Pentium III generation, which had been approved using a CPU. Using SDRAM RAM memory with specifications of 64MB to 256MB, by having a speed between 800 Mhz-1300 Mhz. Windows systems are also very common in the early 2000s.

RFM in Business Strategy

RFM Analysis For Successful Customer Segmentation Analysis RFM in Big Data RFM (Recency, Frequency, Monetary) analysis is a proven marketing model for behavior based customer segmentation. It groups customers based on their transaction history – how recently, how often and how much did they buy. RFM helps divide customers into various categories or clusters to identify customers who are more likely to respond to promotions and also for future personalization services. RFM analysis evaluates which customers are of highest and lowest value to an organization based on purchase recency, frequency, and monetary value, in order to reasonably predict which customers are more likely to make purchases again in the future. What are Recency, Frequency and Monetary? ·         Recency      : How much time has elapsed since a customer’s last activity or transaction with the brand. ·     ...

Artifical Neural Network

Artificial Neural Network  is a computational model based on the structure and functions of biological neural networks. Information that flows through the network affects the  a neural network changes or learns, based on that input and output. So the point is  to create a computational system that could solve problems like a human brain. The Neural Networks was founded by  Warren McCulloch and Walter Pitts in 1943. Then it was upgraded with AI (Artificial Intelligence) in 1975 by Kunijiko Fukushima called Artificial Neural Network (ANN) .   Warren McCulloch and Walter Pitts Today  Neural Networks are important in information age, because help society to solve complex problems in real life condition. They can learn from model the relationships between inputs and outputs that are nonlinear and complex; make generalizations and inferences; reveal hidden relationships, patterns and predictions (such as financial time series data) and varianc...
